This policy explains what information we need, why we need it, and the choices you have. We use plain language first; if you need a copy in another accessible format, contact us.

What we collect
- Your name, email address, and sign-in details when you create an account.
- Documents and instructions you choose to submit.
- Files created for you, along with their review status.
- Basic usage, billing, security, and reliability information needed to operate the service.
How we handle documents
We use your document only to carry out the request you make, keep the workspace working, prevent abuse, and provide support when you ask for it.
Some requests do not need additional processing. When a task does, the service may send the relevant content to a provider working on our behalf.
Private beta workspaces expire automatically. You can also delete a workspace from the page when that option is available.
Do not upload information you do not have permission to use. Avoid highly sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the task.
Cookies
When you are signed in, ELLA saves your display name, whether you have completed the introduction, display choices and explicitly created memories to your account. If you use the public test without signing in, first-party preference cookies remember only your display name, introduction choice and display settings on that device. Neither mode adds conversations, uploaded files or generated files to your profile.
These cookies last for up to 180 days unless you remove them sooner. You can clear them from ELLA’s display settings or through your browser settings.
Why we use information
- To create, adapt, translate, and deliver the files you request.
- To show progress, warnings, costs, and review status.
- To protect accounts, investigate faults, and keep the service reliable.
- To administer subscriptions, usage allowances, and payments.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to valid requests.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete your account, documents, or other personal information.
- Restrict or object to certain uses of your information.
- Provide information in a portable format where the law requires it.
We may need to confirm your identity before completing a request. Some records must be kept for legal, security, or billing reasons.
Security
We use access controls, encryption, monitoring, and limited retention to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security, so we also limit what is kept and who can reach it.
